There is something about crocheting ultra geeky stuff that makes me very happy. The latest is this Cthulhu-inspired “fireworm” scarf. I called it that because a)it looks like a worm, and b) it is bright orange. I can see some little kid (or his geeky dad) wearing this thing.
I considered the possibility of putting wings on it, like I did with this Cthulhu guy…
… but I decided to leave it worm-like instead. I made this pattern up, so if I do another one I will have to just recreate it from memory. Shouldn’t be too hard tho.
My next project is a Cthulhu ski mask, which my hubby has been wanting to me to make forever. I’m finally doing it. I also just picked up a great little book of Amigurumi crochet guys called Creepy Cute Crochet: Zombies, Ninjas, Robots, and More!, so I’m going to take a look through there and see what moves me. I don’t know what it is about these little crochet guys, but they are too adorable to pass up.
