Have I ever talked about Mister Rogers here? I don’t think so. But Mister Rogers Neighborhood was a favorite of mine growing up. His words and actions meant so much to me. Seeing this calm man who spoke right into the camera and told you how special you were made an impact.
It’s funny how someone can cover an old song and make it entirely new for you. This is what has happened with the song “Morning Has Broken.” In fact, it’s become a sort-of anthem for me.
I’ve been thinking a lot about random acts of kindness. We see them everywhere. We really do. But they don’t quite get the attention that they deserve, do they? We hear more about the bad events on the news, and not the good ones.

No surprise here: the Psalms are my favorite part of the Bible. (Must be that all that beautiful poetry.) So here I am on Christmas Eve and feeling very blessed for my God. I haven’t had an easy life, but He has been with me every step of the way.
