One of my favorite shows used to be Aarti Party on Food Network. I really enjoyed her take on Indian food with an American twist. She’s just super cute and fun and a joy to watch. I made tons of her recipes over the years, and one of them has remained a favorite.
Yesterday I made one of our favorite soups for the Packer game. We played San Francisco, who for the last several years has run amok on us. But not so with the game yesterday! And being the fan I am, I do believe my soup was part of the reason we won.
Gen had a hard day yesterday at the vet. It’s always so sad to see your doggie suffer for any reason, even when it’s something good for her, like going to the doctor. To help ease her pain, I made her some dog treats.
As many of you know I’m a little obsessed with zucchini.
It was a hot one today, so tonight I made salads for dinner. This is a salad recipe I’ve been playing with, usually making it for lunch but tonight I decided to make a larger portion for our supper.
I like pretty much all salads but this one is good because even the guys seem to like it. Do all men not love salad? Mine doesn’t seem to, but he does like this one.

I love the combination of oatmeal and dried cranberries in this recipe.
What is it about a farmer’s market? They’re so colorful, give off a relaxed vibe that makes you think you have all day to stroll and pick out veggies, and so inspiring for healthy living.
I love my crockpot for a lot of reasons. I can buy cheaper cuts of meat, I don’t need to turn on the oven and heat up the whole house, and it’s really easy to use. Crockpots get a bad rap because people just toss stuff in and everything tastes the same when you do […]
I never thought I would like pumpkin soup. As a kid, I didn’t care for pumpkin all that much. Funny how your tastes change. This soup has evolved… I kept changing it and changing it and now I think I’m ready to share it.
I’ve been looking for ways to get my family to eat vegetables. I sneak them in by adding the pulp from the juicer to things like spaghetti and casseroles and I try things like these veggie addins.
